Hello I’m Baby Girl!

Meet Baby Girl. She came to GIHS along with her older brother Baby Boy after their owner’s health declined. Life here has been difficult for Baby Girl as you can imagine, especially after being separated from her brother, who needed more intensive care due to age and health. For several weeks Baby Girl remained curled up in beds and blankets near the community room window, head buried in her arms, too depressed to interact with visitors. She lost weight. She became sick–a common occurrence in stressed cats. After her health took a turn, GIHS was able to get her into a foster, where she seems to be improving. She still misses her brother, of course, but we believe that in the right environment and with the right family, she’ll come out of her shell and know happiness again.

Hi, I’m Lenore!

“The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.” – From Disney’s Mulan
Few words could encompass the beauty and rarity that is Lenore quite like these. She is a flower bloomed in adversity and strengthened by love. As a long-term foster, Lenore has shown she truly thrives in a home. Her fosters describe her as quiet, loving though a bit shy, and a professional cuddler. Lenore, like many people, is solidly a dog person. She loves making new friends, and this is the time her playful nature truly shines.
Lenore’s fosters also state that she is completely potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and loves playing with toys and getting backyard zoomies. Lenore is ready to love and be loved. Could you be the one to help her continue to blossom?
