Hello, I’m Nuke!

Meet Barn Cat Nuke: Mr. Hot and Cold, Sir Yes and No, the king of Mixed Signals.
Originally listed as a Barn Cat (a working cat who prefers mousing to domestic life) due to the inability to handle him, Nuke has begun to show us a new side of himself! A few days ago, Nuke approached the front of his kennel and allowed several staff members to pet him. He was uncertain and skedaddled back into his box after a minute or two, but we considered this major progress! Now, every day he allows for more physical touch.
Nuke may always run on the temperamental side, unsure of what he wants from people other than food, water, and shelter. Who knows? But with the right family, Nuke may prove to be an altogether different cat given time.

Hi, I’m Ollie!

3-year-old Ollie has seen his fair share of dark times. One of the first things people notice when meeting him are the scars that dapple his body. Found as a stray, we’re unsure how Ollie came to wear these scars, or what’s led him to where he is today. What we do know is that Ollie is the sweetest boy. He’s timid, yes. He hangs his head when people try to pet him, unsure of the kind of touch he’ll receive, but once he knows you want nothing but to love on him, he’s yours! His gift for your kindness? Cuddles, kisses, and shadowing you around! He does well with riding in cars, is nervous around other dogs (we believe stemming from past history), and he enjoys listening to nature ambience videos on YouTube!
