Tickets/Info-www.gcaazk.org. 09/18/10 - “Tenth Annual Paws Gala: “The Wonderful Wizard of Paws The Tenth Annual Paws Gala: “The Wonderful Wizard of Paws", hosted by the Galveston Island Humane Society, will kick off Saturday, September 18 at 7pm. With Frank Billingsley (Chief Meteorologist, KPRC-TV Local 2) as Master of Ceremonies and entertainment by Yelba & The Max Catz. This annual fundraising event will be held at the Galveston Island Convention Center at the San Luis Resort. The evening includes a sumptuous dinner, open bar, first-class silent auction, and dancing. Tickets are $125 per person, $250 per couple. Long-time supporter of the Animal Shelter, Robyn Bushong, will be special honoree. The evening will also feature 12 Elite Pet Owners –each showcased in a unique one-of-a kind- vignette created by local designers. For more information, contact 409.370.0832.
